Welcome

Welcome to the care.data advisory group public meeting webcast site

This is where you can watch the webcasts of the public discussion sessions being held by the advisory group about the work we are developing to inform and assure the programme known as ‘care.data’.

The care.data programme

NHS England has commissioned the care.data programme of work on behalf of the NHS, public health and social care services to address gaps in health and social care information. Known as the care.data programme, this initiative has been designed to ensure that there is more rounded information available to citizens, patients, clinicians, researchers and the people that plan health and care services.  The aim is to ensure that the best possible evidence is available to improve the quality of care for all.

You can find out more about the care.data programme here.

The care.data advisory group is considering the questions and concerns being raised by all stakeholders - patients, the public, health professionals, NHS staff and others - and advising NHS England and the Health and Social Care Information Centre about what should be the potential solutions or ideas for amendments to the care.data programme.

As part of this process, it held a series of open meetings to examine the issues of interest to stakeholders and begin to refine potential solutions to address concerns and issues of staff, patients and members of the public.

The webcasts and reports can be viewed on this website. The November Manchester event report is now availbale to view here.
